5.5. Corporate Secretary
The Corporate Secretary is accountable in his activities to the Board of Directors, carries out his activities in accordance with the norms of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter, the Corporate Governance Code, other internal documents, as well as decisions of the General Meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors.
The Corporate Secretary organises the preparation of General Meetings of Shareholders and meetings of the Board of Directors, keeps document flow and protocols, provides members of the Board of Directors with necessary information and coordinates the execution of decisions, in necessary cases conducts key consultations, takes part in the development and updating of internal documents. The Corporate Secretary carries out monitoring of the execution of decisions of the body and interaction with the Fund and other stakeholders.
The Corporate Secretary of Kazakhtelecom JSC B.K. Abdykalykov has state awards, the sectoral title “Үzdіk baylanysshy”. He was recognized as one of the best corporate secretaries of the group of companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, is a permanent participant of various events on the further improvement of corporate governance and the institute of corporate secretaries. He is an Honorary participant of the Central Asian Association of Corporate Secretaries. He was the chairman of the jury of the “Corporate Secretary 2023” competition. In 2024, he was presented with a Letter of Gratitude of the Central Asian Association of Corporate Secretaries “For contribution to the improvement of the business environment and the introduction of best practices of corporate governance and standards of sustainable development in the country”.
